Pantel launches Android ICS-based T-Pad IS701C tablet at Rs 4,999

Pantel Technologies has launched its new Android-powered tablet PC named "T-Pad IS701C" in the Indian market.

The tablet is engineered with a cortex A8 1GHz processor. It features a 7-inch TFT LCD capacitive multi-touch screen with a resolution of 800X480 pixels.

The device runs Android Ice cream Sandwich operating system. The Penta T-Pad IS701C tablet PC is a Wi-Fi device with 3G USB dongle support. It has a

host USB 2.0 port and an additional micro USB port.

The device also features a 0.3 megapixel front camera. The tablet is claimed to have a 6+ hours of battery back-up.

The tablet has a 512 MB DDR III RAM. It has an internal storage space of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB. The device comes with a 720p HDMI port that is touted to enhance the viewing experience.

Ex-Skypers Launch Virtual Whiteboard Deekit

Although seriously long in the tooth and being disrupted by a plethora of startups, for many years Skype has existed as an almost ubiquitous app in any remote team’s toolkit. So it seems apt that a new startup founded by a team of ex-Skype employees is set to tackle another aspect of online collaboration. Deekit, which exits private beta today, is a virtual and collaborative whiteboard to help remote teams work smarter. The Tallinn, Estonia-based startup is headed up by founder and CEO, Kaili Kleemeier, who was previously a Head of Operations at Skype.
